Raipur, Oct 27 (IANS) Seven members of a family were arrested here Tuesday for assaulting a woman who they alleged practised witchcraft, police said.

The seven people, including two women, staying in Lodhipara colony of Raipur, were arrested following a complaint from the victim Vishwasha.

Vishwasha lodged a complaint with Ganj police station alleging that she was beaten up by the family Oct 17 because they thought that she practised witchcraft after a new-born baby of the family died.
