British actress STEPHANIE BEACHAM’s Christmas (09) break was almost ruined after she burned her head and leg in a freak accident.

The Dynasty star knocked over a pan of boiling water at her home, and was scolded by the hot liquid.

The 62 year old’s doctor boyfriend quickly tended to her injuries – but Beacham was apparently more worried about the state of her hair, as she was due

to enter U.K. reality show Celebrity Big Brother on Sunday (03Jan10).

A friend of the star tells Britain’s Daily Mail, “She wasn’t so much bothered about the pain but about the fact that she had just spent ?250 on a new hairdo,

so she was cross as well as hurt. Her new partner insisted on pouring cold water over her scalded head, but she was very reluctant to let him because it

would further ruin her coiffure – she’d had it straightened especially for her Big Brother entrance – but he absolutely insisted.”

Beacham is one of a string of stars on the reality show – actors Stephen Baldwin and Vinnie Jones are also appearing on the U.K. series.
