Boy George penned lyrics on Amy Winehouse during prison stint
London, Oct 19 (ANI): Singer Boy George penned lyrics on Amy Winehouse when he was in prison earlier this year for the false imprisonment and assault of male escort Audun Carlsen two years ago.
George’s 15-month prison sentence started in January and was cut short by 11 months, when he was released in May for good behaviour.
And he spent his time by writing his new song ‘Your Pain Makes A Beautiful Sound’ on Winehouse.
The Daily Star quoted him as telling The Times: “When I was away (in prison), I wrote a lot of stuff, which will be released next year. I wrote a diary and songs. I got into trouble because I wrote on the wall: ‘Some things are past understanding, you just need a place to land.’
“It was part of a lyric. I actually wrote a song about Amy when I was in prison.” (ANI)
