Dharmani to lead Punjab in next Ranji Trophy match
Chandigarh, Nov 21 (IANS) A defeat in the last match of Ranji Trophy league proved dear to Punjab captain Ankur Kakkar as he was dropped from the squad that was announced here Saturday evening.
Pankaj Dharmani will lead the team in the forthcoming match against Gujarat Nov 24 here at the Punjab Cricket Association stadium.
‘Taking stock of the performance of the Punjab team, selectors have made two changes in the squad. Gagandeep Singh and Manish Bhatia have come in place of Bharat Lumba and Ankur Kakkar,’ said a PCA spokesperson.
These decisions were taken in the meeting of the senior selection committee here Saturday evening under the chairmanship of Chaman Lal Malhotra.
