Four from India elected governors of broadcast industry advocacy
Hong Kong, Nov 11 (IANS) The Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (Casbaa) has elected four people of Indian origin to its board of governors, the high-profile advocacy for the television broadcast industry said Wednesday.
The board now includes BAG Network chairperson Anurradha Prasad, Hinduja-owned IndusInd Media managing director Ravi Mansukhani, Tata Sky chief executive Vikram Kaushik and ESPN Sports managing director Manu Sawhney.
They will serve a two-year term, even as Marcel Fenez of the entertainment and media practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers was re-elected for a similar tenure as chairman, said a statement issued by Casbaa.
The association is an advocacy dedicated to promoting multi-channel television through cable, satellite, broadband and wireless video networks across the Asian region. It represents some 130 member organisations, serving over three billion people.
