Halt the violence, Chidambaram tells Maoists

New Delhi, Oct 30 (IANS) Home Minister P. Chidambaram Friday said the government had appealed to Maoist guerrillas to ‘halt the violence’ and urged them to come forward for a dialogue.

‘The government has been repeatedly telling the Maoists to halt the violence. These are three simple words,’ Chidambaram told reporters here.

He asked the Left-wing radicals to come forward for a dialogue.
