Haryana power companies offer disclosure schemes

Chandigarh, Nov 27 (IANS) Haryana power distribution corporations, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Friday announced a new voluntary disclosure scheme for consumers to get their illegal connections regularised.

Both agencies decided to introduce the voluntary disclosure load scheme (VDS) for domestic, non-domestic and industrial consumers of urban areas.

The scheme will remain open up to Dec 31.

A spokesman of the power utilities said that no penalties would be levied on the applicants for getting their unauthorized load regularised.

The procedure for regularisation of extended load has also been simplified for the convenience of consumers, he added.
