Karachi police claims recovering Indian arms from Lashkar-e-Jhangvi operatives

Karachi, Oct.29 (ANI):Karachi police has claimed to have recovered Indian made arms and ammunitions from the five Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) operatives, who were nabbed during a raid conducted by the CID.

Officials said they have recovered 150 kilograms of Indian made RDX, two suicide jackets and five kalashnikovs from the militants, who may have links with the Indian spy agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

The CID claimed that the extremists have been involved in various terror activities including sectarian violence and suicide bombings, The Nation reports.

“All the arrested militants are associated with Qari Hussain Mehsud of the LeG, who is a mastermind of suicide bombing and operates from Wana,” said SSP CID (Operations) Fayyaz Khan.

Khan also revealed that all the ammunitions and explosives were transported to Karachi in a car, couple of days ago, by Mehsud himself.

He said the terrorists were planning to carry out major terror strikes across the city in which they would have utilised the uicide jackets, which was stuffed with around 20 kilograms of explosives. (ANI)
