Madonna promises to bring electricity to Malawian village
London, Oct 30 (ANI): Madonna’s ongoing Malawi visit is proving to be a boon for the nation’s people, as the pop diva has promised electricity to a village in the impoverished country.
Madonna, along with her children Lourdes, Mercy and David, made a trip to an orphanage in Mphandu to launch a kids’ Kabbalah scheme and later told the people of the village that she would bring electricity there.
“I know you work in darkness. I will bring you electricity,” the Sun quoted her, as saying.
Only two days ago Madonna had kick started the work on her new 10-million-pound girls’ academy in Malawi and had promised to build more schools across the world. (ANI)
