Mel B blasted for branding hometown Leeds “intimidating, depressing”
Washington, November 02 (ANI): Melanie Brown has made fans of her hometown Leeds livid after labeling the town “intimidating and depressing” in a recent visit.
The former Spice girl had flown into the town for a week as part of U.K. TV show Seven Days on the Breadline.
But she couldn’t help notice the changes in the town.
“It’s a world away from my recollection of what it was like growing up in the area of West Yorkshire during the seventies and eighties,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
However, the comments didn’t go down well with her fans.
One fan told British newspaper the Daily Star, “As far as I’m concerned, she’s ain’t (sic) welcome here anymore.
“You only have to see the way she behaved while she was here to realise it’s her who has changed, not us.” (ANI)
