Rupert Grint to play Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards
Washington, November 02 (ANI): Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has replaced Steve Coogan for the role of British ski-jump legend Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards in a new film, it has emerged.
Coogan was first offered the film about the comical athlete’s Olympic journey in 2007, reports Contactmusic.
Now, British newspaper the Sunday Mirror has reported that Grint will substitute the Night At the Museum star in the movie directed by Declan Lowney.
Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards was the first to represent Great Britain in 1988 Winter Olympics ski-jumping competition.
Even though he had finished last in the event, he had become extremely popular.
The film is set to start production later this year. (ANI)
